On November 22, 2024, the Lloyd Group of Institutions organized a special guest lecture on the topic “Start Your Start-Up” exclusively for BBA students. The resource person was Mr. Sumeet Vishwakarma, Manager of Learning & Development (L&D), who delivered an insightful session on financial literacy, financial fraud, and entrepreneurship. The event was attended by and enthusiastic audience comprising students and faculty members.

Mr. Vishwakarma began by emphasizing the importance of financial literacy in today’s world. He discussed practical strategies for managing personal finances and highlighted common financial frauds to help students safeguard their financial interests. With engaging examples, he explained how being informed can lead to better decision-making in both personal and professional aspects of life.

Moving on to the topic of start-ups, Mr. Vishwakarma encouraged students to explore their entrepreneurial potential. He frequently used the thought-provoking phrase "Aapko kya aata hai, aapko kya bhata hai, aur aap kya karte ho?" (What do you know, what do you excel at, and what are you doing?), urging them to introspect about their skills, passions, and actions. He shared practical tips for launching a start-up, including identifying market gaps, building a strong network, and adopting a problem-solving approach to business.

Following the lecture, our HOD, Dr. Shilpi Sarna Ma’am took the stage to appreciate Mr. Vishwakarma for his inspiring session. The HOD commended the relevance of the topics discussed and encouraged students to implement the valuable lessons shared during the lecture in their academic and professional pursuits.

This led to a lively discussion, with Mr. Vishwakarma offering constructive feedback and suggestions to help them refine their concepts. Overall, the lecture was both engaging and enriching, leaving students motivated to explore new avenues of learning and innovation.
